Creedence: The Unraveling, the first installment in a series, is an unflinching look at the life of four siblings and their single father as they struggle to overcome hardship in the late 1970’s in a small West Texas Town. Abel Gonzales, known as Gonzo, is an aspiring rock musician working a difficult circuit in rural West Texas. He has four children, named after famous Woodstock era rock bands.
Fleetwood Mac is the eldest son, followed by Santana, Creedence Clearwater Revival and the youngest, a girl called Meatloaf. The 70’s were a different time and world, and the children are left to navigate their challenges mostly on their own as their father works in the oilfield through the week and gigs on the weekends. They face trauma and circumstances and display courage and resiliency that only come from the naivete of youth.
